Job Description for Personal Groundskeeper/Caretaker position

Experience:

 Strong experience with and a love for horticulture is required

 Proven ability to professionally manage a broad range of gardens and grounds

 Ability to repair and maintain yard machinery, fencing and buildings

 At least 10 years’ work experience is preferred

Duties and Responsibilities:

 Essentially this job requires caretaking of the grounds, buildings, infrastructure, and our

family

 Plant and impeccable maintain the grounds and areas including the lawn and flowerbeds

 Perform repairs and maintenance of all equipment

 Must be able to understand the plumbing, electrical, and irrigation systems and to diagnosis

minor problems

 Maintain in an organized manner equipment manuals and work records

 Has ability to manage any assistance required with the groundskeeping

 Manage special projects should the need arise for hiring contractors

 Provide itemized expense reporting based on credit card expenditures

 Creatively plant flowers and plants to maintain attractive floral displays

 Utilize horticultural knowledge to ensure continuing seasonal bloom and specialized

gardens in beds

 Must have. some abilities with technology, such as with the app that works the gate and

irrigation systems

 Thoroughly enjoys working outside and groundskeeping

 Has a willingness to look around to see what needs to be done

 Strong commitment to horticulture

 Understands the growth pattern of different plants and flowers

 Able to create aesthetically pleasing flowerbeds

 Excellent work ethic

 Willing to work until the job is done

 Handy with tools

 Likes dogs

 Works well with all people
